Since I have been a blogging slacker, I am going to do some brief updates. I was looking through my pictures and just had to get some of them up. So here goes our summer...
I headed to Utah driving 6 kids- 12 hours-by myself (my 4 kids, including 4 month old Eliza, and 2 of the Ross boys ages about 9 and 10 years old) Yes, I am crazy, but I had good motivation to do it. 1) get out of Tucson heat, and 2) make it there in time to run the Wasatch Back relay. This was a big deal for me because my friend and running partner, Sarah, talked me into being on their team and it was just the motivation I needed to get out of my post partum slump and back in shape...quickly...after Eliza.

This is our van of 6 girls and our very cool driver. We had so much fun together. What a great group of women!

Below is the whole team...all 12 of us posing at the end after running almost 200 miles in less than 24 hours.
A big thanks to Ron and Carolee for watching my kids while I did the race.
The following Monday, we headed to Orem where Sheryn and family met us for a week of fun. We went to the dinosaur museum one day...Kids digging for dinosaur bones:

We went to Heritage Park in Salt Lake City. It was a neat place. We spent the whole day there.

After a fun week with Sheryn, she went home and the kids and I stayed in Orem. We played so much with them that I decided it was time for a little work. I spent pretty much the whole next week helping paint some rooms in my parents house. After that we headed back to Logan. We had fun doing sparklers and watching the 4th of July fireworks outside of Romney stadium with the cousins.

While in Logan I got to visit my good friend Matt and his mom Alice.

Shane flew in and joined us in Utah on July 9th. We squeezed a lot of fun in with his family for a few days and then headed to Island Park to Sheryn and Sheldon's cabin for our Pett family reunion. I didn't get very many pictures but we had fun hiking, riding the wave runners and hanging out. Below are all of my parent's grandkids except for James (who was only a few weeks old).

The weather was so nice and we had so much fun this summer in Utah, that I hated to go home. Good memories!

Wow--good job on the relay! Three people from my family ran that race also. We'll have to hook up for a run again some day...
